all are diffrent breeds and come in many different colors as seen above. Could you spot the difference between em? Neither can most people. So When an attack is reported from one of these breeds they get thrown into the category of "Pit-Bull"which translates to mixed bully breed. So when i say Pits or Pit-Bulls in this blog please keep this in mind. Theses dogs represent one in four of the dogs that get taken into animal shelters. These breeds are very misunderstood and is portrayed terribly by the media. These dogs are loyal, very obedient, and eager to please. Yes, they say pit-bulls bite the most every year but the real truth is that they are the most REPOTED bite every year. Everyone should be educated before making a decision to adopt a dog but, this is 5 reasons why you should consider adopting a pit-bull.

 1.  Easy grooming- Un-like a lot of other breeds pit-bulls have a short coat very easy to give a bath to and brushing is extremely easy and no need to pay a groomer for fancy haircuts.

2.    Loyalty-When you adopt a Pit Bull, you have a friend for life, through thick and thin. While Pit Bulls are not good guard dogs because they just love people so much, they may take action if someone threatens “their” humans.

3.   Super silly-Pit Bulls are hilarious. Just like people, all dogs are distinct individuals, but Pit Bulls are usually bursting with personality and they love to make us laugh by clowning around. They are fun and playful, even as they get older.

4.    Cuddle Bugs-Pit Bulls love to cuddle. Even the most athletic Pit Bull will also have a sedentary side and crave being hugged and petted. Adopt a Pit Bull and you will have a constant companion keeping you warm in bed, on the couch, on your lap in your favorite chair. Did I mention that many Pit Bulls don’t realize they are too big to be lap dogs? For this reason and because they are so trainable, Pit Bulls can be excellent therapy dogs!

  5. This should be number one but, The Pit Bull smile. Pit Bulls are great for your mental health. If you are having a bad day, one look at your Pit Bull’s huge smile and their big tongue will surely make you smile.

These dogs in the 1800 were used for varmint hunting, pulling carts, and also known for their babysitting capabilities on the farm. Still today they par take in pulling contest around the world and are still used for hunting boars that have become a nuance in the bayou and other areas around the United States where these hogs are destroying crops and even killing livestock.

Hopefully this has shed a little bit more light on these awesome K-9's.
Here is a video showing off the capability of these amazing creatures. Worth checking out trust me!

  1. They sound like an excellent choice! Any ideas how you will help publicize this information further?

  2. This is an enlightening article. I hope more people realize that adopting a human is far more dangerous than adopting one of these misunderstood Bulls. Animals don't have a voice of their own, so I think it's great that you are giving underrepresented animals a voice. Maybe you could look into why they have a bad reputation, and debunk some common myths I saw listed in your survey.

  3. I have quite a different side with a twist to it.I love dogs but from certain kind I will stay away. When I was younger at age 5 we had owned two German Shepherds.. Well, one day it attacked me for now reason and nearly killed me, only few (MM) away from never seeing a daylight in my life.. Anyhow, I take great caution with dogs.. Especially with Pit Bulls. They are know to be very violent. Even in some real life stories when, mothers leaves her child alone and come to find out that her Pit-Bull killer her baby. That is really serious. Of course, every animal is dangerous but Pit Bulls for fact are dangerous..
Maybe, you should look into statistics of how many people get bitten per year by Pit Bulls and other dogs ?
That would be interesting to see.

    1. It's kinda funny how the German Shepard are the one that bit you and then you are anti-pit.It is not the dog it self but, how it was raised. children are the same way they are the product of their environment. If you give them love all their life and treat them like normal dogs they will be awesome dogs. If you train them to be a aggressive then they would do that as well because it what they are TRAINED to do.Pit bulls will do anything you want they to because they want to see you happy. Any dog could be trained to be aggressive. With main steam media these days you will never hear about your neighbors lab biting some one but,If some ones pit bull even sniffs some body wrong you will have media coverage. In the article above it stats that yes, it is the number one bite every year but, if you have 4 plus breeds all getting thrown in to 1 bite category is that really fair? I tried to shed some new light with this because a lot of people don't have the proper facts. Like anything in life do proper research and be educated on a subject be for making a judgement.
